  1. Interesting. I believe in reviewing books I enjoy. I like to read reviews. For books at my book club, I read them after to see if I agree.

  2. Nancy, your headline that lured me here. Ahead of reading the article, I'd have to say based on the quote, on-line reviews must matter a great deal.

    However, if you're standing in a bookstore and holding the book in your hand, a review matters none. An endorsement is fine. But then the endorser only needs to be someone like Stephen King who merely signs his name along with adding a simple caption such as, "I like it."
